Alberta has six UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the most in Canada. Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks (includes Banff and Jasper National Parks), Dinosaur Provincial Park, Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, Wood Buffalo National Park, Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park, and Writing-on-Stone.

Forts ❀: the North-West Mounted Police built Fort Macleod in 1874 and Fort Calgary in 1875. Fort Macleod includes a museum and the NWMP Musical Ride.
